Final Task 3: Illustrated Typography Poster

This poster visually embodies the emotional journey described in the quote, "Swimming through a sea of thoughts, searching for the words to heal my hearts." The underwater theme, featuring fish and a dreamy blue colour palette, symbolises the overwhelming yet serene flow of thoughts and emotions. The typography plays a significant role in reinforcing this concept.
The word "SWIMMING" uses a playful, bold typeface with a gingham pattern and floating fish elements, evoking movement and lightheartedness amidst deep reflection. The phrase "through a sea of thoughts" is set in a subtle, curved sans-serif font, blending softly with the aquatic background, mirroring the quiet introspection of the journey.
To highlight the emotional core of the quote, "HEAL MY HEARTS" is placed inside a vibrant red heart shape with bold, 3D-styled text, emphasising the urgency and importance of emotional healing. Meanwhile, the magnifying glass around the phrase "searching of the words to" adds a sense of active pursuit, visually representing the search for clarity and comfort. Together, the typographic choices and visual elements create a cohesive narrative that reflects the quote's contemplative and hopeful tone.
